BOHEMIA FD RECEIVE REGIONAL AFGP FIRE GRANT AWARD
Mineola, NY. Grant-Guys Inc. is proud to announce the award of $446,800 to the BOHEMIA FIRE DISTRICT for the purchase of 140 complete sets of PPE including boots, helmet/shield, pants, gloves, coat, hood and traffic vest.
This is BFD’s THIRD AWARD with Grant-Guys following a $378,600 FEMA SAFER award for recruitment and retention and a $258,000 portable radio award last week bring the total federal share of funding to over ONE MILLION DOLLARS OVER JUST A SIX WEEK PERIOD.
Bohemia FD is an automatic mutual aid responder to Islip Macarthur Airport and interoperable radios with fire, police, EMS, and airport firefighters is critical to efficient rescue operations.
Regional partners on this award include:
- Sayville FD,
- Bayport FD,
- Blue Point FD,
- Holbrook FD.
Each will receive about 30 sets of turn-out gear.
The award includes the federal reimbursement of grant writing expenses.
