FEMA AWARDS THREE LONG ISLAND FD FUNDS

Grant-Guys Inc. (Williston Park, NY) is proud to announce a FEMA AFGP award for two Long Island fire departments in Nassau County.

– The LAWRENCE CEDARHURST FD was awarded $146,000 in portable radios. This is the fourth award with Grant-Guys and comes on the heels of a NYS Recruitment and Retention award and an ambulance award for LC-Rescue in 2020. LCFD previously won PPE in 2018.

– The PORT WASHINGTON FD was awarded $275,000 for the purchase of a rescue truck. This is their sixth award with Grant-Guys Inc. including an AFGP-S regional award in 2021. PWFD is one of only three current Grant-Guys clients to surpass the $1 MILLION MARK IN AWARDS.

– The LEVITTOWN FD was awarded $150,000 for the purchase of structural NFPA compliant PPE. This is the sixth AFGP award for LFD since joining our family and includes one regional award and a SAFER LED sign award in 2020 and a 2021 AFGP-S regional. LFD is our first FD client to replace ten year old non-compliant PPE which was won on one of our grants, only to be replaced with a new grant award ten years later. This is a first even for us.

The departments will have their grant writing fees paid for by the federal government in addition to their award.

The 2023 AFGP is expected to be released in the Fall. In our 15th year, Grant-Guys Inc. is NYS’s largest fire grant writer firm bringing in over $55 million in grant awards to date. That includes $3 million in Long Island awards in September 2022 alone.

Grant writer fees are reimbursed by the federal government upon award.
