Mineola, NY. Grant-Guys Inc. is proud to announce the award of SCBA and PPE for the Fire Island Pines NY Fire Dept. in the amount of $235,000. The federal award will fund the purchase of complete sets of personal protective equipment for use by the department’s volunteers including pants, coats, gloves, boots and helmets; in addition to self-contained breathing apparatus, air cylinder and masks.

Although this is the first fire grant for the Fire Island Pines department, it is far from the first award by Grant Guys on Fire Island having secured two federal awards for the Saltaire FD previously.

The award includes the federal reimbursement of grant writing expenses. “Barrier island responders face unique risks and encounter reduced opportunities for timely mutual aid based on their geographic location, and we are proud to continue producing safety items for their firefighters” said Tom Devaney, Director of Grant-Guys, Inc.
