GRANT-GUYS EXCEEDS INTERNAL AWARD RECORD
Mineola. NY. Grant-Guys Inc. is proud to announce that with todays awards we have surpassed our 2021 cycle year of both total awards and dollars awarded for the same period last year. With a total of 23 awards totaling $4.2 million in Round 5 in the 2022 cycle, we have exceeded 2021 by the same period by two awards and $200,000 in Nassau and Suffolk County alone. This includes one regional award and two vehicles. “The vehicle applications are always competitive, but with two awards totaling over $1.1 million combined, we have already exceeded our internal projections and expectations” said Tom Devaney, the Director of Grant-Guys. “although other national grant companies may have higher total award volumes, our applications are only fire dept. based in the federal Fire Act grants of the AFGP, SAFER, and FPS.
This cycle was different as we had one applicant, the East Williston FD receive three individual awards, including two in the same day! And we had the Bohemia FD receive both a Reginal award as a host and an individual award for communications equipment; and this comes as they just accepted a 2021 Regional SAFER where also serve as the host. One dept being selected as the host for two consecutive years is a milestone for us” Director Devaney concluded.
With possibly 6 rounds left from 2022 the total awards and total dollar amount will also be sure to increase. The award includes the federal reimbursement of grant writing expenses.
“We also like to point out that grant writing fee are reimbursed by FEMA for successful awardees. In the current 2022 award cycle, we have recovered over $25,000 in federal funds which goes right back to the local community” said Alex Mcveety, the Grant Guys Director of Administration.
